Some where really stretching with that BS. Rust dying was kind of obvious about his closing the circle comment, but I didn't think Marty would go too, until I found out neither will be back next season. I just don't know where the writers will take it if the Senator goes down and they find the Yellow King.

The comparison I used in another thread was Band of Brothers and ThePacific.
Can't be topped but can be good in its own right.

Ted Childress brushed the Marie Fontenot kidnapping under the rug....another officer Childress had guy Francis kill himself in his cell...The lawn guy is also a childress...Ted childress was illegitimate brother and cousin of senator Tuttle and now dead Billy Lee tuttlee.

They put a lot of time/focus into the daughter in prior episodes.
They did bring up in this episode that she has a boyfriend that takes really good care of her.
I would be surprised if we don't see her at all in the finale.
It is possible that they put the time/focus on the daughter just to show everything not being peachy in Marty's life or just to throw us off.

i think it's about marty's failures as a father, even though there were a ton of red herrings that she was abused
