To be fair, the Tarantino thing was a personal ranking. I actually said in another post that Inglourious Basterds is probably his greatest cinematic achievement.
As far as Top Gun and Breaking Bad being overrated, well...people always fear the truth.

Top Gun isn’t overrated because no one has ever said that it’s some sort of cinematic masterpiece. It’s just a fricking awesomely entertaining movie. It helped define a decade and is still what most people envision when they think about military aviation. It’s a had much larger impact than most “great” movies ever will.

Not offering an opinion one way or another, but saying something "helped define a decade" will only add fuel to the argument that it is overrated.

Trailer looked better than I expected. Don't know the plot details but with a spacesuit and F-14 in the clips I'm going to go out on a limb and say that he gets tasked with a special mission to bring down a rogue (Iranian/North Korean) satellite using an upgraded F-14 and anti-sat weaponry (missiles) that can only be launched from high altitude. I know the Air Force messed with these during my time with F-15's making the shots but don't know the real world effectiveness of such special weapons.
The invert (to go over the mountain top/down into a pass) was a legit scene. Best way to minimize pop-up over mountain tops when trying to stay low-level and keep from getting painted by radar. Our 111's used to do it all the time and is a much more effective move than attempting to nose over a peak..... Just ask the missile battery fellas out at the Red Flag ranges if you get the chance.
