Now we are rolling. Of course, it goes without saying that the tanks will be Tigers and the tank soldiers will be Waffen SS.

So, I've got the first few episodes going here. After getting through the rip in space time, the Civil War soldiers will be immediately attacked by a T Rex only to be rescued by a Waffen SS tank platoon.

The Waffen SS soldiers will kill a couple of black soldiers and take the rest prisoner while treating the white Confederate soldiers like long lost brothers. At first the Conderate soldiers will love the attention and really dig their Waffen SS rescuers.

However, a few episodes in, the leader of the Confederate soldiers, a cynical and disenchanted Major who is actually a Northerner who sided with the South, will discover that the Waffen SS is evil and they will help the remaining black soldiers escape, stealing a Tiger tank in the process.

But, one of the Confederate soldiers, a former overseer on a Mississippi plantation, will betray his brothers and stay with the Waffen SS. In time, his brutality and animal cunning will cause him to become a leader of both the SS soldiers and the few Confederates who stayed with them. He will become the implacable enemy of the "Yankee" major and his former comrades whom he now views as traitors.

Can we throw in a forbidden secret romance between Summer Glau and Amanda Tapping?

Absolutely, but don't forget this is the SciFi channel. So, those confederate soldiers will, in a few inexplicable days' time, master the intricacies of tanks, the MG 42, and various other German weapons.

Of course, they'll be aided by a prisoner/deserter they took with them from the SS guys who will show them a few things about the tank. He will also tell them how the tank is useless because it will soon be out of gasoline. But then, they will discover a bubbling pool of raw crude oil on the surface and some of the good old boy Confederate soldiers from the mountains of Virginia will rig up a still and, under the instruction of the captured German, make them some gasoline.
