It was a very close weekend at the domestic box office for the top spot. Harrison Ford vs. Sonic the Hedgehog! Who could win in such an epic duel? Unfortunately, even for a screen legend like Harrison Ford, old age can lead to dwindling star power and box office returns. Here are this weekend's Top 10:
1. Sonic the Hedgehog (Paramount) $26.3 million
2. Call of the Wild (20th Century Fox) $24.8 million
3. Birds of Prey (Warner Bros.) $7 million
4. Brahms: The Boy II (STX) $5.9 million
5. Bad Boys for Life (Sony) $5.8 million
6. 1917 (Universal) $4.4 million
7. Fantasy Island (Sony) $4.1 million
8. Parasite (Neon) $3.1 million
9. Jumanji: The Next Level (Sony) $3 million
10. The Photograph (Universal) $2.8 million
- Sonic the Hedgehog has eclipsed the $100 million mark in the United States and has grossed over $200 million worldwide.
- Call of the Wild was a high budget gamble ($135 million) that failed and will likely finish in the red.
- Birds of Prey has now grossed over $70 million in the United States as it struggles to reach the coveted $100 million mark.
- Best Picture nominee 1917 and Best Picture winner Parasite remain in the Top 10.

I didn't eve realize Call of the Wild was opening this week. Must not have had much of an advertising campaign.

Impractical Jokers actually did pretty good for a limited release.

the wife and I saw it and it was great. honestly what they could do in film that would not be allowed on TV was actually great and served them well.

Where is it playing? Don't think it's showing anywhere in BR/NO

And Star Wars out of the Top 10 the last two weeks
What these last two Jumanji movies have done (competing against Star Wars) is seriously impressive

only 1 AMC is running it in Birmingham, and the showing we were in was completely filled.
side note, went and saw Sonic the Hedgehog last night - it was surprisingly enjoyable, and we get vintage Jim Carrey (ala Ace Ventura) in it.
