Can we get a thread stickied so everyone knows that The Wire is arguably the greatest TV show ever? I read every thread brought up about the Wire because I too love the series. But at least once a week someone asks for the boards opinion on it. It never changes.

The Wire and Dexter are not even in the same category. The Wire is one of the best shows of all time.
Dexter is pretty average. It is probably a little better than The Mentalist, but nowhere near the caliber of show that The Wire is.

I like both of his singing styles but his gravel voice is MUCH better. It's the ultimate in cigarette and bourbon soaked voices.

The only problem I foresee is spoilers. I'm only midway through season two, so I have to be very careful where I tread in Wire threads.

I wondered carelessy in to a thread about The Wire and someone commented on what happens to one of key characters in the show without any spoiler warning. Wasn't too happy.

Any time a show can have a "50 Top characters" list from one show. You know its an amazing show.
