My wife picked it out. We watched the first 3 episodes last night. Not too impressed, but only 4 more to go so I guess I'll stick it out until the end.

SPOILERS:
They never reveal who was writing the letters. There are several suspects, but it's never stated who The Watcher really is. They set it up to seem like Dean and Nora were behind the whole thing, only to have the "real" Watcher show up at the end. It's a convoluted mess.
