I think Matt will freak out bad enough Caroline will end up having to compel him to forget all about vampires but then she'll realize it won't work between them and have to leave him. I think they'll bring Tyler back at some point and he'll be her only option... It'll be the Romeo/Juliet thing--they're supposed to hate each other but they'll fall in love. That's my guess anyway.

Caroline needs to get her mom and Matt under control before her mom has her killed.
Bonnie is gonna kick some arse with her new powers. Can't wait to see how Damon and Stefan use her as their secret weapon.

I'm confused about Caroline because I thought she compelled her mom an episode or 2 after she turned?

Caroline did compel her mom, she doesn't remember anything from when Caroline turned. She is just learning everything about Caroline because Matt told her about Caroline saving him in the pub by making him drink her blood. She gave Matt the vervain and dropped him off at her house so he was there when Caroline arrived. She told Matt to ask Caroline to compel him as a test. Since he drank the vervain it didn't work so he could tell Caroline's mom everything Caroline said, therefore confirming Caroline is a vampire.

Thanks I have to rewatch tonight's episode because my roommate broke up with his girlfriend last night and I had to teach him everything about making sure his ex and her friends cant see his facebook wall or photos

I read all LJ Smiths books when I was in 5th grade and into middle school. Do they stick pretty close? Has Stefan gone apeshit and murdered a bunch of people in a Quonset hut yet?

I don't know if they stick to the books or not I haven't read them. The show is at the part where Klaus makes his first appearance, but please don't spoil anything

Doesn't sound like it follows the books. I only read the first four. From what I remember that just dealt with Elena, Stefan, and Damon. Elena going off the bridge and getting turned then restored. Then in the fourth book the woman Elena is supposed to look like (Katherine?) shows up...
Klauss is offscreen most of the time you hear about him from Katherine, but I don't think you ever see him...
