The new film will include the very best of RKO's THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD, John Carpenter's classic THE THING and both books, Frozen Hell and Who Goes There?"

Yeah, we needed this.
As long as they don't include that chick Thing, that was supposedly a prequel but pretty much just rehashed Carpenters Thing but with a chick...and adding in scenes that sucked.

No. But Clan Misanthrope embraces a remake of The Crawling Eye nee' The Trollenberg Terror.

You really think the problem with that film was Mary Elizabeth Winstead? She is never the problem in a film. She's all they had going for them (the creators of that movie).

I don't think she was a problem. But it's that chick Thing. Easy reference.
I never mentioned her name. It could've been any actress, wasn't going to save that movie.

I was kidding. The movie is trash. Just wanted an attempt to bring up Winstead.

Loved original and prequel

The John Carpenter version is a legit classic that still holds up. The lame-arse remake from a few years ago sucked shite through a straw, even with the presence of a decent, likable actress. Why the hell try again after you just failed?
