Delilah tried this last season (I believe). Ultimately, the lack of true bass results in their elimination.
Unless, of course, one of their members has her nodes removed.

I still preferred Street Corner Symphony to Pentatonix.
Both were awesome. It was criminal that Street Corner Symphony didn't win season 2. For season 3, Pentatonix was a basically a lock after their Video Killed the Radio Star. Their Love Lockdown and Dog Days Are Over performances were fantastic.
The videos that Pentatonix put out after their win have gotten better and better. I've enjoyed keeping up with them and fueling my inner choir geek.

Video Killed the Radio Star
Hands down my favorite performance by any group on The Sing Off from any season.
I agree about Street Corner Symphony. Who won that season? Was it the quartet/quintet of blacks guys with the 1 -word name? I can't remember it.

Yea. Committed. I had to look it up.
I remember being impressed by their range, but they weren't innovative enough for my taste.

Yeah. That was them. They were solid but not nearly as versatile as Street Corner Symphony.

Sooooooo these guys said that they are so much more than a Philipino boy band......I beg to differ.

I thought they were decent. Need to get away from the boy band performance though

AcoUstiKats were pretty entertaining.

Wow, AcoUstiKats were awesome

Interesting battle concept.

Let's Get It On showed that they didn't need any gimmicks and that they could just flat out sing.

It's funny that this show almost has a script.
They have the old guy group: Jerry Lawson and the Talk of the Town, North Shore, Street Corner Renaissance
The All Girl Group: Delilah, Element
The Quirky all-guy college acapella group: On the Rocks, Dartmouth Aires, AcoUstiKats
The Black Soul Group: Ten, Afro-Blue, Committed
The cool guy group: Street Corner Symphony, Home Free, Nota
I really do feel like I'm watching the same groups over and over. VoicePlay reminded me a lot of Pentatonix, just not as good.

I liked the country group, the UK group, and the old guy doo-wop group the most.
I also like the battle thing this year. Very cool.

these groups seemed way shittier than previous seasons. Most of them just had nobody who was a good singer. The country group sucked hard. The street corner gang compared to Jerry Lawson's group was amateur. The first group with the black girl in front and like 20 people in the group was about the only good one.

I agree. And they're the only one to get the song selection right.

Recorded this last night... have always enjoyed it and still look up Pentatonix on YouTube.
They put out a version of "Little Drummer Boy" recently that's fantastic. Can't YouTube from work though, sorry.

Anyone else watching tonight? Jewel's tittays look
Posted on 12/11/13 at 9:27 pm to GeauxColonels
I watched. Not a single good performance. Party's songs suck for acapella.

There were a couple of good ones. But, for the most part, party songs are pretty difficult to pull of as a cappella songs.
