I'm just now seeing these films. They are fricking incredible.

The Raid: Redemption is fantastic and The Raid 2 is just as good if not better.

thought they were unnecessarily brutal and graphic, not to mention hard to believe.

but I'm not a huge martial arts fan, so there's that.

Dredd was basically a remake of The Raid

Both are masterpieces. Top 5 action movies for me, incredibly well-choreographed and directed

I thought the second one was kinda boring. Check out The Night Comes for Us on Netflix if you're into that sort of action. It stars Joe Taslim and features Iko Uwais in a smaller role.

I really enjoyed the second one but my only complaint was that it was about an hour too long. Cut it down to 90 minutes and you have another instant classic.
