I'm getting tired of plots that revolve around romances between different species, or machines and people, or whatever combination they'll come up with next week, where the moral of the story is "they love each other so it's ok".

I'm sure everybody gets the message. Move on.

Definitely didn't spare the budget for the S/FX this week.

Solid second act.

This had to be the peak, right?

I'm curious to see how this plays into their Krill episode next week. Can they find common ground? Issac's people are still out there.

It will be a tenuous alliance; however, you have to remember it's not just Earth but the Union and its members. I am sure they don't get along with other members (e.g., the Moclans) either.

The Krill and the Moclans each have a sort of Klingon "vibe" to them. In TNG, you never see how the Federation and the Klingons actually do in their transition to peace (set up in Undiscovered Country) - you just know it worked because there's Worf on the bridge. Kinda the same thing with Bortus.

You do have the common threat - and Issac may be the key. He can actually lay out the plans to the Krill from firsthand knowledge.

Pumped about the future of this show.

That would be awesome if that became the overarching plot of the show.

Showing how the Krill go from mortal enemies to tenuous allies and how that plays out long term.

Man, I’ve enjoyed this show from day 1, mostly for the relationships and interactions rather than any real compelling sci-if aspects, but that episode was fantastic in creating real sci-fi intrigue and tension.

As others have said, the effects were great, and hopefully a sign that they are investing more in the show and willing to let it keep growing in scope.

No letdown this week. Strong episode. Gordon kicked some arse, we were introduced to a new race of alien and we have a tenuous peace agreement other the krill.
