The Official I have now seen The Hangover twice thread
I saw it a 3rd time today. I'd like to point out that I found a mistake during the 2nd time I saw it though.

******************SPOILER*******************

When they go to Heather Graham's apartment, she says something like, "But I don't have to do that (be a stripper/escort) anymore because I married a doctor." Then one of them says, "Actually, he's a dentist." Then she has a surprised look on her face. The cops then blow through the door.

At the end of the movie, Heather Graham explains how Stu lost his tooth. She says that Phil (Bradley Cooper) bet him that he wasn't a good enough dentist to pull out his own tooth (implying that she did, in fact, know that he was a dentist, including at the time they went back to her apartment).

I noticed that the first time....but ITS A MOVIE...it could have been she was "confused" that it seemed he didnt remember much

they made fun of him being a dentist the entire movie and that time Stu says himself "i'm just a dentist".

bullshite. By having the scenes very fresh in my mind from the first 2 watchings, I was able to see very small parts of humor they put into the movie.

I ed during the 3rd time, I noticed a few new things, but I just went from an enjoyment rating of a 10 the first time to a 9.5 the second time to about a 7 the 3rd time, law of diminishing marginal utility, I guess. I just wish I would have waited until the DVD so that I could have laughed the same way I did the first two times I saw it.

BTW, I loved this movie and am in no way downgrading it.

I seen it and I didn't think it was as funny as most of you posters are making it out to be... You guys must have been wasted when watching this movie...

It was funny but not that funny...

One part that was so funny was the Carlos (baby) part at the table..

I'm pretty sure that she knew that he was a dentist the whole time. I took it like she was calling him a doctor b/c that was how he referred to himself. She was building his confidence.

I saw it for the second time yesterday.

I just can't stand to lose someone else close to me since my grandfather died.

Oh, how'd he die?

WWII.

Oh in battle?

No, he was skiing in Vermont. It was just during WWII.

I critique the shite out of movies and this one was one of the funniest ones I have seen in years. It was one of those movies where you had to pay attention to conversations taking place out that were not the focus of the shot. Little jokes could be heard out of frame. I am not going to compare these to classics it is one of the better comedies to come out. Can't compare it to classics though because they have been around with all the hype for years. I think over time this one could be a classic.

The one scene that I felt was too formulaic would be the blackjack scene. I know the Rainman gag was funny on the escalator but the rest of the scenes was weak and didn't make much sense.

The dentist guy was willing to write a check for the money so why not just go back to Vegas and cash a check at the casino? The scene felt too forces.

Rest of the movie was great.

I still stick with the casino cash part being the weakest link in the movie.

I take the 10k point. I still find it formulaic and weak that they stuck the casino cash scene in there.

It was absurd and added almost nothing to the movie. In fact, it detracted from the movie. It would have been better if they had to back track and find where they lost the satchel.

I'm not saying you have to find it weak, but I do. Even with the escalator scene, it still detracted from the movie in my opinion.
