Due to this thread I decided to watch a little after more than a decade of not seeing anything to do with the show. Starting on Monday, I watched BotG. Then proceeded to watch Freiza Returns and all 3 Brolys. I thought I had seen a list of all the movies in order of awesomeness at some point, but can't find it. What shold I watch next?
And I also absolutely hate what Gohan has become. On a path to far exceed Goku to a subservient nerd with no interest in fighting. He needs to have his Saiyan half unlocked soon. They need to either age Trunks and Goten or get Gohan back in the mix. Every good fighter besides Vegeta and Goku sucks now.

Gohan being able to control his hidden power vs cell and then having it unlocked again vs buu ultimately tied Toriyama's hands into either making him the main protagonist or a baby back bitch that stopped training. I've read that Toriyama wanted Gohan to be the main protagonist by the end of DBZ, but in the end did not think Gohan's personality suited the role and it would be out of character to make him love fighting.. So he made Gohan a bitch and kept Goku as the main protagonist.
If that's true I can't say I disagree very much with Toriyama. It would be against Gohan's nature to train like Goku or Vegeta when there was no imminent threat like there was throughout most of DBZ.
Still, it upsets me because Gohan is my favorite character outside of the Great Saiyaman crap and I would have loved to see him take over. When he actually trained he was easily the strongest fighter.
I hope Toriyama can find a good way to make Goten and Trunks become powerful fighters. They seem to take after their Saiyan heritage more.

For those that haven't seen it here is Revival of F in full, English dubbed. It's bootleg, but it's tolerable and only really noticeable when people laugh. It's a great movie, as good as I hoped. I don't expect it to last long on youtube, so watch while you can and enjoy

I really loved DBZ when I was younger, is this a new story or just re-hashing old ones.

I have. they just finished battle of the Gods last week so I wonder if they are going to have filler episodes and then do Revival of F or are they going in an entirely different direction?

I got through 10 episodes and got super busy at work. I'll probably catch up next week. It's been awesome so far though. They did a great job expanding out the battle of the gods stuff and showing the fear beerus strikes in people and his and Whis's personality and relationship.
Been loving it so far.

I haven't seen past episode 8 yet. I plan to change that soon. I've had complaints with some of the animation so far, but I like what they're doing with the series.
