I think it sucks, and Pam has gotten consistently bitchier since getting with Jim.
Also, you're absolutely right about Creed. his one or two lines per episode are great.
The episode where he got the chick from the papermill fired, passed a card around to collect money, then kept the money and threw the card away while his voice over said "why do bad things always happen to the good people..." Might be the greatest scene in the whole show for me
also, some of Creed's deleted scenes are just plain fantastic

She's a woman. Got married. Seems pretty real to me.

I almost posted about this yesterday when the thread first started. Jim was just a guy with no responsibilities, so it didn't matter if he goofed off all day. Now, he has a wife, child, and house note. He had to change somewhat, as would anyone. At times he reverts and pranks Dwight, or bangs Pam in the closet, but he can't live like that full-time anymore.
No doubt. People always change within shows that last so long, and they should because that reflects real life. Lots of times when people say a show "jumped the shark," in addition to slapping themselves for using that phrase, they usually really just mean that what made a show 'good" in its beginning has now changed. But that's natural since people are gonna evolve and grow up (both on the show and us as viewers).
I don't have a huge problem with Jim not being as fun anymore, but Pam seemed to consistently get worse. I do agree with Port that she hasn't been as bad this season, but the whole Office Coordinator thing is just stupid IMO, and she seems like a pretty useless character these days.

It looks like I'm one of the odd ones, but I don't mind Pam's role. She isn't nearly as entertaining as she once was (and I didn't think she was that great anyway), but I don't really care.
Save for a few episodes, Dwight isn't getting enough screen time. He's great in short bursts, but he's got the chops to be featured week in and out.
I hope Jim pranks him in one of the next couple of episodes as payback for the snowball fight. Let it escalate and force the office to become divided over where their loyalties lie.

I still love the Office. Its still the best comedy on TV week in and week out imo. I never miss an episode.
I think its funny that someone will post that they might or might not watch it because they are afraid its not going to be funny!!
Now thats funny!!
Its about 21 minutes if DVR'd for crying out loud!!

Me too. I don't think it's as funny as it once was, but still pretty solid. I thought the last episode was a swing and miss. But when your power guy strikes out, you don't bench him, you tell him to keep swinging. They came through in the clutch this time, IMHO.

this is kind of played out. they haven't been bad at all this season.
the episode where Jim HAD to find out why that guy stopped calling Pam while she was single? Absolutely abysmal television and the death of Jim and Pam.
This season has been tons of that crap. They were always supposed to be the audience's anchor. The people who were in on the joke with us. Now, they're part of the joke themselves.

When Sabre first took over the commission plan made it favorable to go back on the floor. At first he and Michael jockeyed for the sales position, but Michael liked being the boss too much.
I am pretty sure that's how it went down but I will gladly accept correction. It has been a while.

Just watched it and definitely rolled off my bed laughing.
Mad respeck for Holly
Kevin and Creed were money as always
Almost no Kelly and very little of Gabe
Jim and Pam work better when the story isn't centered around them. They also work better when played off of Dwight Kurt Schrute (one of the 5 best characters on tv).

Jim voluntarily went back to sales when he found out there was no cap on the commission.

Wow, this is very well said.

The opening with Michael running into David Brent was the best opening ever.

The episode where Jim conceded the position, Michael found out why and tried to concede as well.
Sabre retroactively added a cap. The episode where they broke the news to him centered around him pranking people since he couldn't possibly make any more money.
