It isn't overwriting anything to tell a story.

I think you should check out The Mandalorian. It's pretty good.

I have watched the ending 4 or 5 times now and still get goosebumps.

Saw the XWing. Naw. Can't be Luke

Green Saber... Naw. Can't be luke.

Gloved hand... Naw can't be Luke.

I KNEW it was Luke and I STILL couldn't believe it was Luke until I actually saw his face.

This is going nowhere, obviously.

I love this show. And they can do a lot of good stuff in this show and others. But what some are suggesting is simply not occuring.

What order should I watch them in?

Chronological order of occurrence in the star wars universe.but you can skip clone wars and rebels for now since they are multiple seasons long. Rogue One is my favorite of all and you're likely a communist if you disagree.

Absolutely LOL @ a hallway lineup of droids being unable to hit a target from 10 ft away. Like, he barely deflected blaster bolts, most of them were wild shots. It’s like they were programmed to shoot like stormtroopers ?

Have you ever seen Star Wars?

I'm a little surprised Luke didn't open with an iconic line. I really expected him to go

Din: Are you a Jedi?
Luke: I am. Like my father before me.

Obviously. It was going nowhere the second you chimed in about how something worked with the impression that the person who created it was limited to only what we've already seen.

Then, you pivoted to "he doesn't run the show." Kennedy has given no indications that she's limiting Favreau, and I think he'd let Filoni tell a good story if it worked.

What kind of shite is this? Clone Wars is essential to really understanding Anakin.

I joked with my friends last week that he’d say “I’m Luke Skywalker, Im here to rescue you.” If the situation were right.

It was nearly right (situationally) this week, but it’d have been pretty corny.

Reread what I said. Because I said he doesn’t run Lucasfilm.

LOL exact same here. I just KNEW they were going to do something stupid and ruin it. I kept saying out loud, “please be Luke, please be Luke.”

I’m equally pumped about the direction Star Wars is going, but also even more annoyed at how bad it’s been and how bad it could have gotten.

Can you imagine having a Rose Tico series instead of this?

My bad. I should've known that would be confusing.

You realize there are executives at Lucasfilm that in charge of handling Star Wars as a whole, right? Running the show does not have total power over the direction of the entire franchise.

What I and others have spoke of had nothing to do with Dave or Jon’s ability to run their shows. Its a wild fan theory that they (Lucasfilm) will make the Sequel’s “not count” through time shenanigans. Something that will not occur for a variety of reasons.

So you think Kathleen Kennedy has her hands on The Mandalorian in any meaningful way? That's interesting.

You might also want to go read what I wrote. I already said they weren't going to make it "not count" and I didn't need nonsense points about previously established concepts or who's in charge to do it.

This is mostly about your short-sighted comment about Filoni's ideas.

Also, you might not be aware of this, but these two are a bit more involved in the future of Star Wars than running and writing for one show.

Bravo!

In all of my 40 years watching Star Wars, there has never been a moment that was so emotional and heartfelt that it brought tears to my eyes..... Until Din took off his helmet and bid farewell to Grogu.

Well done to everyone involved with bringing us 'The Mandalorian'.

Best Star Wars content since 1983. BY FAR.

That episode makes me HATE the last Jedi and TROS more then ever. Didn’t think that was possible.

THAT is the Luke we deserve

She can’t beat him. The thing that doesn’t make sense is she came into possession of the dark saber via Sabine giving it to her. Why its different now I don’t know.

I guess because Sabine didn’t defeat someone to get it. She just recovered it from the Night Sister lair.

Very well aware of their shows.
That doesnt change how Lucasfilm will treat the Sequels, no matter how much we dislike some/all of them.
