The Iron Lady Starring Meryl Streep

I just finished watching The Iron Lady starring Meryl Streep as Margaret Thatcher - one of my three contemporary idols and the only one still alive. It was an utter waste of time and money. I am thoroughly disgusted with whatever it was that the producer was trying to impart. I'll leave it to someone smarter than I to figure out what it is.

Please expound. Streep won an Oscar for her performance but I can guess without seeing the film why I might not find it acceptable. It only got a 6.4 rating on IMDB so apparently there were plenty of voters there that did not like it.
