I mean I figured it would be watered down, but the recycling of the wedding crashers jokes/situations was the nail in the coffin. That movie was such comedy genius and they tried to copy that, but failed in every way

The previews seemed to be the only funny stuff and even that is stretching the truth

It's weird, back in the 90's most big comedies were pg-13. You couldn't make enough money making R rated comedies. Nowadays any decent comedy is R rated. What changed?

These two simple factors pretty much decided it for me, that in no way in hell was I going to see this movie.

1.) Google has a huge stake in the story/plot. You know one of the biggest companies in the world is not going to let anything outrageous going on in a movie they're heavily involved in.

Google wasnt involved in the writing of the movie, but they did have some say in the editing. Which brings me to...

2.) It's PG-13. Never ever go see a comedy that's PG-13, you will always be disappointed. It always waters down the funny for grown arse adults like you and I.

I watched the cut before Google got to it and it would have been rated R.

Thought about going to see this Saturday afternoon, I hadn't really heard about it so decided to youtube the preview. I couldn't even watch the whole preview so I'll pass on this one.

I remember the trailer playing in front of a movie I saw about a month ago and it didn't get any laughs in the theater. The X-Men joke in particular was abysmal.

How can you see those two in a trailer and NOT think it will be a rehash of some sort?

There seems to be a 50-50 chance that all the funny parts are in the previews of a comedy movie.
Also, iIt always pisses me off when they ruin a joke by showing it in the previews.

Well i dont think they could "ruin" the classic line "you get high?!!"

Just awful

I remember the Wedding crasher ads ran the "Low back tattoo, might as well be a bullseye" joke into the ground, and it was probably the weakest line in the movie

But i doubt thats the case with the internship

Another awesome thread.

-The owen Wilson love angle with awkward dialogue

-The "stand up and call someone an idiot moment" at the end of the movie ala Sack in WC.

-the loner scenes, where one of them goes off on their own only to be brought back by the other one.

-Will Farrell weird cameo, expect this one wasn't funny at all

Seriously, watching the movie felt like watching a way less funny, watered down wedding crashers.

I found myself literally hoping for the end of the stupidness.

And in this case the trailer wasn't funny. Anyone walking into this movie after seeing the trailer got exactly what they deserved.

Certainly wont go to a theatre for that one. Probably going to be 2 hours of Obama knob slobbing.
