The Andy Griffith Show. And it's not even up for debate. After almost fifty years, this show is sill in syndication. And, according to the people that tell me these things, it has the highest advertising rates in it's time slot.
But, for my money, Seinfeld is the greatest. Cheers and Frasier are a close 2 and 3. Anyone that says MASH most love preachy, life-learning lessons. Much like Cosby and ..... and ..... and...

1- Fawlty Towers. Maybe the only show that could liiterally make me laugh out loud on a consistent ongoing basis.
2- Soap. Hilarious show. Not sure if it's considered a sitcom (more like a spoof or satire on soap operas.). But either way it was very funny.

I have zero respect for anyone who says Arrested Development. The correct answer is Curb.
ETA: How can anyone say Seinfeld since Curb has been released? Curb is a WAY better version of Seinfeld. They can do so many things Seinfeld couldn't because its on HBO.

Because it is NOT FUNNY! People always say how great it is on here but I could never get into it, I would watch an episode or two and then stop. Well about a month ago I watched every single fricking episode of that stupid show trying to find out why people think it is so great. I laughed maybe once a season. It was just so stupid, and not in a good way. Buster is so dumb and not funny. George Sr is retarded and so was his brother. Tobias is an idiot and George Michael is a pussy. The only one who was even kinda funny was Gob but 99% of the time he was just stupid. The show is SO frickING STUPID and I hate all of you for making me watch it!
