The ending scene with Blondie, Tuco, and Angel Eyes is one of the best of any Western and up there for any movie IMO. I rewatch that scene often. The music and the movements are impeccable.

I hadn’t watched the entire 3 hr. movie in years. Parts of it really drag, Angel Eyes is an incredible character at the beginning and then disappears for much of the 3rd act, and the handguns used are all over the place and inconsistent with reality. Clint also seems to be standing around in many of his scenes.

But there is some good humor to be found, and Tuco is a great character. Speaking of Tuco, the actor’s hand and face could have easily been sliced open on the 2 occasions when shovels were thrown towards him. During one scene the metal shovel hit the ground blade first just inches from his fingers.

It is almost like a journey type film that just happens to be an Eastwood western. I was thinking of the vibe of American Graffiti at times.

I only watched it as a kid on regular tv. I watched it a couple a years ago on Amazon or something and did not realize she has her boobs on full display in the movie. Little me would have shite.
