We normally DVR Flash and watch it the same night as Arrow. Should we be watching Arrow first right now?
I probably wouldn't worry too much about it. While the shows are in the same "universe", the timelines aren't necessarily running at the same speed per se
I believe that this past Flash episode took place between the Arrow episode where Ray and Oliver fight (and Ray suit gets damaged), and the Arrow episode where Roy leaves (and Ray figures out that Felicity still has feelings for Oliver). So the most recent Flash episode took place sometime between the March 25 episode and last week's (not yesterday's) Arrow episode
So basically the Arrow events are happening at a faster rate than the Flash events.

I don't think that the writers are saying that Ray & Oliver's showdown happened after Ray goes to Central City. Ray goes to Central City because of the damage that Oliver caused during the fight.
The damage Oliver caused was completely different than what he was trying to get fixed in Central City.
Plus Tedock posted.

Ray and Felicity visiting Central City happens between 3x16 and 3x17. The producers said in an interview that they had to fudge the timeline a bit because of scheduling issues.
So...yeah.
The suit was damaged in 17. at the end of 17 an arrow is aimed at felicity, and then in 18 it opens with that arrow hitting ray. The nanobot technology he used to save himself was based on the Bee he picked up in Central City(I am pretty sure). He is still in the hospital at the end of the ep if I remember correctly. Then 19 is broken arrow where the suit is working, but Felicity and Ray didnt leave with the Roy situation on going.
Dagnabbit writers, get your crap together!

finally watched the newest episodes. the shapeshifter episode has to be the worst episode of flash or arrow ive watched.
how just blatantly dumb did they make barry and also just completely misuse/ignore his powers?
so because someone shapeshifts he cant speed and catch him (first meeting)?
same scene, it takes him forever to get to Eddie.
Then Barry and Eddie interact after Eddie is in jail and Barry KNOWS the shapeshifter is impersonating Eddie and also knows the real Barry is in jail. So when an Eddie look-a-like knocks at his door he thinks its the real Eddie!?
cmon. the episode was full of things like that. just a really poorly executed episode all around really.
onto better things, i know it was briefly talked about but do we think the white symbol in the flasback is more significant than just a timeline thing? does it mean its a totally different barry? or it means the timeline has now split since thawne's involvement? im guessing its not a huge plot point since it took the shows creator to really bring it up.

I really just think it only confirms that Barry will get a new suit at some point in the future that more closely resembles the suit from the comics.
They also might be laying the groundwork for the future flash to show up in the current timeline, or current Barry will go back to the point of his mother's death and both Flashes will be there since they have now established a different costume for each in order for us to distinguish between the two.

i would guess since time travel has been the big theme this season, alternate realities will be next. has there ever really been a more "hardcore" version of barry? it always feels like he was the same character just slightly different.
while wally west had a really different and interesting version of himself named walter west
basically a grief stricken and way more powerful version of wally.

I think it was simply an easter egg being white. Thawne got locked into the past because that Barry ran back to the future, a different future, and in this universe the Speed Force hasnt been created. Without the other Flash to bring it, it doesnt exist.
It is also a possible allusion that he will get that emblem later.
One thing I dont like about it is, that it implies he never gets a new suit. That one he has on, is the same but with a white patch, as the one he has now. The suit he has now is way too daredevil-ish.

he also has the white emblem in the future newspaper article
i wonder if that will be a totally different Barry that we could meet later.

Damn. Wells a bad man

Definitely! So much awesome in the episode. You just knew Wells was going to be too smart for them, and oh did he play them. I wonder what his plan is for Eddie. I wonder if he plans to take his identity (obviously he would have to keep him alive though).

No doubt. I said that he obviously has to keep him alive, but I never considered Eobard becoming his own grandfather. That is some messed up stuff if that happens.

So. The date they travel back from is 2024. Eddie is wells grandfather. How far back did wells travel back originally for the 2024 smack down?
Posted on 4/28/15 at 8:35 pm to Puck82
In the comics he is from the 25th century or something, so I probably should've added a few greats in front of that grandfather.

I almost jizzed when Gideon nearly told Barry he was a founding member of the Justice League.

Yeah I was upset he didn't finish that sentence

So a little more detail from that future article
Looks like Oliver finally becomes Green Arrow (which I'm willing to bet happens in the season 3 finale)
Flash/GA/ATOM/Hawkgirl vs Reverse Flash
Iris and Barry get married

I wonder what Barry did in the future to set Eobard off.

Just has to happen between now and 2024. And when is hawkgirl going to make an appearance? But they can just blow that all to shite and say alternate time line

She will be in the upcoming spinoff series with the Atom.
