The First Season of Broadchurch is Epic

Yes, I realize I am late to the party here. Binged first season over the weekend. What an emotionally draining television show, but in a good way. Hopefully it maintains thru next two seasons. The acting is phenomenal. Between this and Line of Duty (recently finished) BBC has put out some really good stuff. Any additional recs would be appreciated.

I've said it before, but David Tennant is a very underrated actor on this side of the Atlantic. He is simply one of the best.

He’s in the UK version of a Netflix show about interrogation and is very good in it. Can’t remember the name but they basically did a version of the same show (different plots, same type set/story) for UK, Ireland, Spain and another one I think.
Also not the same type of show but I can’t recommend good omens enough on Amazon prime. 1 season mini series starring Tennet. So much fun to watch

they are still worth the watch, but don't expect them to be as good as S1

And all three are still better than most of what you see on TV these days. Agreed that Season 2 is the low point.
And hard to follow with how Season 1 wrapped up. I was legitimately shocked at the end of Season 1.

Happy Valley and Shetland are both great, and are definitely worth checking out if you liked Broadchurch and LoD.
