IMDB didn't have Vincent D'Onofrio in the Daredevil season 2 cast until the season was released. Literally NO ONE saw that coming. Only the first 7 episodes were available to reviewers. Fisk showed up at the end of episode 8.

Is there a more recent iteration of the Defenders comic than the one I'm familiar with? How can you call them the Defenders with no Dr. Strange, Hulk, Silver Surfer , or Prince Namor? No Valkyrie or Nighthawk?

They dropped an Iron Fist and Luke Cage teaser as well.

The best part about the Luke Cage trailer is how outclassed it makes the kind of guys who would give the other Defenders trouble look- Cage in the comics was always a guy who was way, way more powerful than he needed to be and kind of slummed it because he wanted to help his neighborhood and hang with his boy Danny Rand (who was powerful but like Jessica Jones can be hurt).

Jessica Jones season 1 showed that Cage can most definitely be hurt.

If you recall, when he took the shotgun blast to the chin, his brain started swelling and Claire had to stick a needle in his eye in order to reduce the swelling and pressure.

True he's not invulnerable- but comparing him to a strong girl who jumps and a blind man with a high pain tolerance and preternatural reflexes-- I mean he walks through gunfire.

I'm actually really intrigued by what they do with Danny Rand-- he's tough character to get right especially since Daredevil already went the martial arts + Eastern Mysticism route. Do they show him punching a dragon or is that too far from the gritty vibe they're going for?

With Rand, they have to explore his other mystic abilities as well, as he can also channel his chi to heal others.

As far as walking through gunfire, just because his skin is unbreakable doesn't mean he can't bruise. Every been pelted with small hailstones? They don't break the skin, but they hurt.

If they do the Fraction fighting tournament storyline in a hypothetical season 2 of Iron Fist it would be amazing.

The Defenders brand has shifted away from Strange a little while back, but I agree with you.

The Defenders were a favorite collection of mine (I grabbed every back issue I could of that team).

Finally got around to finishing season 2 of Daredevil-- the Defenders villian kind of has to Fisk- I mean that prison interrogation, that shite was Oscar worthy acting from D'onofrio

I think Kingpin will stay "behind the scenes" for a while...with a more mystic entity being the Defenders villain.

I would like to see more gangs established...like I wouldn't want to see Cottonmouth (Cage villain) join forces or be killed by Kingpin at first.

I like that they've learned not to make the movie mistake of killing off major villains.

Daredevil Season 3 seems like Bullseye saga season with some other minor stuff, maybe end it with Murdock exposed, the office blown up and the Kingpin leaving prison.

I kind of wish they could have done an action comedy Iron Fist and Cage beating dudes up for money but realize tonally it'd be problematic.

well arguably the second best villain in the MCU(if they ever interconnect with TV)-The Purple Man got his neck snapped.Although that's kind of how it had to play out.

I'd like to see Netflix eventually do a villain centric series that then leads to a conflict series as a follow up.

I'd watch a Kingpin series, they cant do any ofnthe non street villians fornbudget and possible movie use reasons and Bullseye wouldn't be a goid series but would be a great villian.

Kingpin is in the comic sequel to Spiderman Homecoming, so assuming they stick somewhat close to the comic storyline they may save Kingpin for that. D'Onofrio has said he really wants to be in one of the Spiderman movies too. Since Marvel doesn't seem interested in using their tv characters for movies, maybe they'd be more likely to let Sony borrow him.

The most logical step is "Born Again".
