Overall there is no continuity though. Shazam, Black Adam, Man of Steel Suicide squad. The joker. It just makes it messy when you have 2 versions of one character potentially running at the same time. So we will see another joker in Pattinsons Batman. The existing Joker from Phoenix. And yet another one at somepoint with the new universe.

Marvel. One Ironman, one Captain, one Thanos etc… kept it clean.
