No, he didn't. He all but spelled it out at the end of the movie. He said to Batman:

"His son's [meaning Gordon's] got the same chance she [Rachel] had: 50/50."

quote:

2. He acted extremely pissed at the two cops for both "not knowing what they were doing with her, just trying to save my family", yet was extremely calm with joker (the guy who masterminded the 50/50 plot) when he said he was just a mad dog let off the leash. (a much larger scale of the cop just doing what he was told)

He was extremely calm with the Joker? When the Joker unstrapped him from his restraints Harvey tried to get at him.

Because he understood the Joker has no plan, no real motives other than creating chaos. IMO he was more enraged at Batman and the cops whom he trusted and who failed him. They were more responsible for what happened than the Joker really.

Knowing Two-Face makes all his decisions by flipping a scarred coin is the same as knowing the Joker wears a lot of purple.

What movie did you watch? He was screaming at the Joker before Joker started explaining himself.

Two-Face then gets calm and tells him, "you live, you die" as he twirls the coin. it was pretty self explanatory IMO

Yep. He was pissed that Batman came to save him (Harvey when Batman walks in - "why me? not me! etc) and not Rachel, but unknown to Harvey, Joker lied to Batman about which location Rachel was being held at.

Eta: you can't use the personality of the comic book character to justify actions of a character in this "real" version. Cop out and a half

You're all giving examples of what he's doing, not his motivation for such.. It was a really piss poor job of guiding us through the transformation from savior to villain.

Okay...here's what I got out of the film about Harvey's transformation from savior to villain:

We all know that Harvey has two sides to his personality, at least that's what the cops of Gotham would tell you as they have taken to unaffectionately calling him Harvey "Two-Face." The reasons for this aren't really clear but there are some hints as to why he is known by this nick-name. He has a mean streak to him. Take his first appearance in the film as an example. The man punches out someone on the witness stand after the dude's assassination attempt failed due to his gun jamming. Later on in the film, when he learns that Rachel has become a target of the Joker, he takes one of the Joker's goons to a back alley and threatens his life with a gun and his coin. So the dark side of his character is established, albeit fleetingly.

The death of Rachel and the scarring of the left side of his face is the origin of his road to madness. Harvey blames Gordon and Batman for the death of Rachel. He blames Batman because he came to save him (meaning Harvey) while he blames Gordon for being too slow to save Rachel. He anger with Gordon is magnified by the fact that cops in Gordon's own special unit, cops who Gordon knew were corrupt but did nothing to, betrayed him and Rachel to the Joker and Maroni's goons.

But the catalyst of Harvey's transformation into Two-Face is the appearance of the Joker in the hospital. While Harvey is not pleased to see him and would gladly kill the Joker to exact vengeance, the Joker's words resonate with him and allows him to finally see that the best way to go about things is to break with society and to take matters into your own hands. By following the rule of law, he had allowed Gotham to spiral further into darkness and had also helped to cause the death of his fiancee. The only way to set things right, at least in his mind, was vengeance.

TDKR, as epic as it was, almost put me to sleep for the middle two hours. It felt extremely forced.

I don't think it was a bad movie at all but imo it's inferior to Nolan's prior installments.

Man, I was starting to think I was the only one that felt thy way. And after rewatching Begins, I agree with this:
