The movie was a let down.
Because the script was for the movie "The God Particle" and it had nothing to do with the Cloverfield movies until they bought it and repurposed it. That's why it doesn't fit in.

Pretty sure The God Particle was always the name for the third installment of this “franchise”. It wasn’t until recently the name change to what it is now.

Although the visuals were amazing, this movie was god awful. My wife and I tapped out after 40 minutes.
