Not even close dude. Gwen was Peter's first girlfriend and died when the Green Gobin kidnapped her and tosses her off a bridge during a fight with Spidey. LINK
MJ came later on.
I was 6 years old and had The Amazing Spider-Man #121. I couldn't believe they would actually kill someone like GS in a comic book, I was floored. My respect for the gutsy story telling of Spidey comics grew by leaps, even though I was just 6 years old.

That was pretty huge. Characters die left and right nowadays but not so much in the beginning.
This new movie could really put itself up there with Xmen:New Class if they kill off GS in the first movie.
That would end up making the Lizard responsible for it though, which I don't think I like as much as Osborn/Goblin doing it but I could live with it.

That's exactly what it is. It was the same with Xmen. I'm assuming Marvel will get Daredevil and Fantastic Four back soon since I don't think reboots of those are coming out anytime soon.

Both are getting depots. A fringe writer is doing daredevil and it'll be directed by the guy who I'd cloverfield. FF is supposed to be in the works as well

i was dissapointed in it - the POV shots seemed the easy way out of not having as much CGI cost.
