Is the main character a tran? Or maybe that’s a cool Hollywood secret to be revealed later in the show?

i don't think it's going for trans, unless there's some reveal later on because a lot of the fellow students don't seem to recognize the main character. could be just because they're forgettable or a transition?
i watched and got the awkward humor that they're going for with it, but it just wasn't for me.
i did laugh at the "first she was all having sex and then i was having sex and were having sex all over" line but the rest was just cringe humor that was too much for me.
