Bourdain's first book was on e of the things that made me quit cooking and buckle down.

I don't think he's pretentious so much as he has good taste and has worked so long at it, he doesn't compromise with people who front- he eats in dicey places.

Bourdain just mentioned on the New Orleans episode of the layover that he does some writing for the show Treme. I didn't know that
