With those made up names, does anyone remember who was on what tribe by tribe name?
No, I can never remember the tribe names.
This dude insisting on naming every alliance isn't going to last long in this game.
Dick move to go through the one guy's jacket, and then there's a second hidden idol at the Goliath beach? I don't ever remember them putting two out to start before. Also, I'm 2/3 of the way through season 3 on my watch of the old seasons... still no hidden immunity idols. I wonder which season they are introduced? I guess I'll find out.
I have to wonder if the producers were thinking that the puzzles would give an edge to the David tribe or at least even the playing field, but it hasn't worked that way at all so far. They are getting crushed.

Oh, and the old black lady is going to get 9 votes when the Goliath tribe finally goes to tribal council. What a bitch.

Right. He's trying to tell her that she's really rubbing everyone the wrong way and is going to get voted out if she doesn't start being aware of that, and she completely blows him off unaware that he's trying to help her out.

It was pretty far along in the series, but I can't remember which season it was. I'd guess around season 15.
My wife had a friend over last night to watch this week's episode, and they both kept going on and on about how hot Christian was. They said he'd crush in the bars after a trip to Queer Eye For the Straight Guy.

SPOILERS FOR OLD SEASONS...
As for the old seasons, I went into season 1 knowing who won, but I was surprised at the general lack of strategy almost everyone had. For the most part there was no voting plan, one dude just voted alphabetically, and then the deciding vote on who won the million dollars came down to which one guessed closer to a number 1-10.
Season 2 I remembered a handful of the contestants from seeing bits and pieces. I remember when Michael fell into the fire, but I didn't remember who won. I was shocked that they voted for Tina over Colby.
I don't remember anyone or anything about Season 3 so now I'm completely in the dark. I don't remember any of these people coming back in later seasons either like a few did from 1 and 2.

Season 3
isn't this the Africa season?
i think that was the only land locked season. not as many bikinis.

I don't get the strategy at this point. You're nowhere near the merge and you have to win some competitions. If you're at tribal every night you're gonna keep dwindling. Why wouldn't you want the best chance to get out of tribal?
One of the tribes pulled a similar move last season and they were at tribal for like 7 weeks in a row.

Is there a rule against stealing idols? I was wondering why he didn't just take it.

I mean....it's "Survivor". I'd for sure be trying anything to get an advantage.

Yes, season 3 is Africa. It's definitely as a whole lacking in the eye candy department.
Season 2 was the Outback, so not on a beach, but they were camped right on the river, so still had some bikinis out, at least the tops. They actually talked in the reunion show about how Amber and Elizabeth wore shorts instead of bikini bottoms for the competition.
I feel like I remember a later season in Brazil that's not on the beach as well.

the amazon? yeah but it had a lot of water. That was the one where the 2 "cute" girls got completely naked for chocolate and peanut butter.
ETA: they also did a playboy spread together.

I agree. Nothing wrong with cutting a few weak links now and then blindsiding the blonde later.
If the David tribe keeps getting beat and losing members, they aren't likely to stand much of a chance after teams mix up or merge.

That is what was so dumb about the old, black woman's argument. She kept asking how they were going to get rid of the old woman that has no chance of winning the game. Well, because it's way too early to think that way, you suck at challenges, and get on everyone's nerves. It's not a great combination.

I think the only way she survives the first Goliath tribal council is if they decide to blindside the guy with the first idol that was discovered. They might attempt to vote him out unsuspecting so he takes the idol with him, he also might hear about that plan and use the idol.
Or maybe they just all align and vote out the obnoxious weak link.

As someone who's big on personal boundaries I agree with the sentiment, but it would create an unfair advantage in practice. Everyone would just put their Idol in their bag or clothes knowing nobody could go through them. There needs to be some risk of somebody finding out you have an idol (or that an idol has been found)without you giving that info away willingly
I wouldn't put an Idol in my possessions anyway. If I hid it in the woods and someone finds it the producers would just tell them it was already found, but not who found it. Better than having it found in the 1st place a suspicious player would look and having that info out there without my knowlege.

oh i agree it wasn't the best strategy for the tribe. But, the smug grin made me dislike her. and the grin turning to shock as the votes were counted was awesome.

Kara and Alec on the Goliath tribe are the 2 that got in trouble awhile back for posting pics of themselves together on social media.
This was on TMZ:
'Survivor' producers have dropped the hammer after a couple contestants broke their NDAs by posing together for a photo -- but only punished one of them ... TMZ has learned.
Sources close to the production tell us Alec Merlino got the short end of the stick in the discipline department after posting a photo with fellow contestant Kara Kay and captioning their pic with a defiant "F*** it." We're told there's no decision yet on punishing Kara.
As for Alec ... sources say showrunners are withholding his appearance fee -- not prize money -- for the show, which comes out to about $10,000. He's also been disinvited to the finale episode broadcast, in which cast members come together and reflect on the season.
We're also told an email was sent to the rest of the cast addressing Merlino and Kay, explaining Alec had been punished ... and that others shouldn't follow suit.
All in all, we suppose Alec should consider himself lucky that he wasn't taken to court for violating his $5 million NDA. BTW ... Alec has since removed the photo from IG.
