They followed the class ahead of me but came back and filmed my class to get shots they missed I guess. I'm excited to see how it looks on camera because I can tell you it was pretty miserable in person

I found this on Netflix and watched what they had. Pretty cool show. Had never heard of that shallow water blackout until I saw the rescue diver one

Was reading on another board that something like 90% passed, which unusual.

I have to say that statistic is a little misleading, the regiment started investing a lot into the pre-rasp program trying to up the pass rate. You usulally spend 4-5 weeks in pre rasp before you actually go into the course to try and get people prepared where as before you had maybe a week at most. Most of the people that would quit now drop out in pre rasp and these arent counted into the fail rate. My airborne class sent about 30 of us to rasp and by the time we entered the actual course there was only about 15 of us.

How many guys from your class went straight to Ranger School from RASP? I heard they were trying that out now.

They got away from doing that, now it's only 1 or 2 guys at most.
ETA: Back when I first got to pre rasp the class that had just graduated sent something like 15 guys, but from what I hear the reason they stopped doing it is because privates going through Ranger school with officers and senior NCOs were at a pretty big disadvantage especially when it came to peer evals where the older guys would gang up.
