Lol, he's a literal alien. I'm making a joke

No, they're fine. Supergirl is in post-production, and the batman part 2 starts filming at the beginning of next year. Yes, It would be great if superman blows up, but it really only needs to be well received with audiences. They can continue to build off that.
I don't think they're fine at all. No one cares about Supergirl. She's a set piece character. If this movie doesn't kill it, Supergirl is dead in the water. The "Synderverse" movies did great damage to this brand and their ability to make a connected universe. They have to nail this.
Are they even including the new Batman movies in this James Gunn universe?

You said he's an illegal alien. That's simply not true. He's a legal citizen via adoption.
ETA: This is what you said:

Superman is definitely an illegal alien

Oh they'll definitely release it. It just won't do well if they bungle Superman.

Also, we have Lanterns and Clayface in progress.
Hopefully they nail Lanterns but I'm not a fan of Hal Jordan not being the first primary Green Lantern.
Is Clayface part of this universe, or part of the new Batman movies a la the Penguin show?

He is right, though
If Supes flopped, they all flop. This is the tone setter.

It was just a play on the word alien baw. He's not a human being and he's from another planet

Nah. He's the adopted son of two natural-born American citizens.
Definitely didn't adopt him legally.

The "illegal" part is where you're wrong. Not the "alien" part.

I don't think our immigration laws have caught up with adopting extraterrestrial beings just yet

Same way you can legally adopt a dumpster baby or a firehouse baby
Posted on 7/8/25 at 10:38 am to ATrillionaire
ETA: Roaad is correct. His adoption would not be illegal.

Good point. I didn't think about that.

According to AI
quote:
Was Clark Kent legally adopted?
Yes, Clark Kent was legally adopted by Jonathan and Martha Kent. While the specifics of the legal process vary across different comic book iterations and adaptations, the consistent narrative is that the Kents raised him as their own son, and he obtained legal documentation and a birth certificate.

Yep, your point about adopting dumpster babies is correct. As an abandoned infant, the Kents would be legally allowed to adopt him and he would immediately become a citizen.

This movie has some of y’all acting like fricking idiots.

It's part of Gunn’s universe. It's written by Mike Flanagan, which is why I'm excited about that one.

Agreed. Anyone who claims Superman is an illegal alien is an idiot.

Right on. So this is going to be about the Clayface from the Creature Commandos show? Is it going to be animated? That Clayface was pretty terrifying, so that could be awesome.
I did a web search and all I'm getting are "Clayface in Harley Quinn" type responses.
