Superman as conceived reflected what America was.
Snyder's superman reflected what it's become.
I think one of Teletubbies, My Pretty Pony or Lord of the Flies is where it's headed.

Batman Begins is a good movie. But it's pretty boring in the first half and the obvious villain swap wasn't a surprise at all.
We knew Liam was Ra right away.
