He was never a great actor but he appeared In a lot of popular movies/tv shows......

I know he didn't star in any of these (maybe Bio-Dome) and that is an issue as no movie he has started in has been a hit or has a cult following. Seems he would get better work than what he has been doing. I mean reality TV??? Even Alec revived his career on TV.

I think some of that is by personal choice. He took a different direction in life and I suspect the acting became a secondary consideration for him.
