Not a problem at all. I love the show. It's one of the best cartoons to come out. It has so much depth and gives you more understanding of just how the emperor became so powerful. It's really amazing that Senator Palpatine was able to fool all the Jedi.

I just realized that Season 5 is as far as I've made it...I have all of Season 6 to catch up on now

I'm towards the end of season 3 and find myself rooting for everybody except the Jedi.
So far we've got:
bounty hounters - chasin' the $, nothing wrong with that
the Hutts - would fit in well with the Corleones
the Emperor - takin' care of business
Storm Troopers - beyond cool
Jedi - pompous punks. Makes me glad Anakin will spend time on the dark side. Seems more fun.
Still really enjoying the series.

I'm late to the party on this one, but man I've really enjoyed this series! On episode 5 of season 2 and agree with everyone else, not a kids show. It's aimed at the same age level of the movies, some kid stuff but mostly for sci-fi fans. I love the sound design and art style, so it's definitely scratching my Star Wars itch.
I'm watching it in release order, but does the chronological order make it better for a first time watch?
