The final line in SBM is amazing and so true.

I was 8 when the sandlot came out and have seen it 100 times. I'm a baseball junkie and I love it but Stand By Me is better in my mind.

Stand By Me is just a more deep and better movie. Sandlot is more fun and light hearted. Stand By Me though just hits harder and stays with me.

If i had to choose only 1 for my son to watch ever it would be Stand by me, but the Sandlot is definitely a lot more enjoyable as far as re watching goes. I could watch Sandlot once a month, Stand by me maybe once a year.

ID say stand by me would be a movie you buy to watch occasionally, and sandlot is one you watch whenever you see on tv.
