is a very fair criticism to bring up the fact that Biden was the first president in their history that they didn’t touch during his presidency.

It’s a fair question to beg but idk about it being fair criticism. They aired a total of 12 episodes during his presidency and 8 specials so there was already a lack of space to force him into relative to every other president. But Biden was also one of the least visible presidents we have ever had by design; the same handlers who insisted he was perfectly fine were also keeping him from making speeches and being out in public at a historic rate. Despite his oddities and personality quirks, there just wasn’t a lot to latch onto the way they’ve done with the Clintons and Gore for years. He was a boring President.

By the time his mental decline was insanely apparent in 2024, they hadn’t aired an episode since March 2023 and wouldn’t air another episode until literally 2 weeks ago because of the legal issues with HBO and Paramount. The only piece of content they released in all of 2024 was the Obesity special on Paramount+ because they were contractually obligated to release something.

If it was going to turn into another season of that, I was going to be very disappointed as they have already beaten that horse to death.

And as I’ve said in the last thread, this a far more honest and South Park-like take. The Garrison thing sucked from the start and never really should have been the approach. I’m far more interested in seeing how far and how long they’re willing to go with this concept knowing that it’s getting a direct reaction from Trump and the White House. I think they want Trump to try to cancel them (for a variety of reasons) and I’m really entertained by seeing of they can goad him into doing so.

I think the last post was the first response I’ve had to you, so I don’t think anything I said you should be assuming is being applied to you

The amount of butthurt some people get from making any poking at Trump speaks to them. Soft. Soft

Agreed. I’ve said I think both sides reactions are funny. I’m also not sure why other’s butthurt is getting applied to me. I think my criticisms of been reasonable and I’ve also given credit to some things they’ve done. I enjoy Trump bashing as much as most. I just think they’ve done it so much it’s become what they’ve once made fun of others doing.

Instead, they gave the world more played-out penis jokes about Trump. Welcome to 2016 everybody. Matt and Trey have finally arrived.

This reads as they hurt your feelings.

100% agree. This take should have been what they did in the first place. It’s far funnier.

Trump people upset over South Park?

No, actually. That's not a good description of what is happening in this thread. Quite the opposite: anti-Trump folks are mad everyone isn’t just blindly acting like constant Trump jokes aren't played out and boring.

as if they had anyone but themselves to blame for that. They're cowards who have resorted to easy targets only. Pathetic shells of what they used to be.

It was insanely apparent in the 2020 cycle when they'd "called a lid" by 8pm every single day of the campaign.

Are there really guys over the age of 12 who get offended by penis jokes?

Nah, I'm just sad South Park is going the way of all other "shock" comedy and defaulting to easy, boring targets.

There is no easier target for someone who works for a large media corporation than a white male Republican. None.

Hey you do you. If Trump jokes with no substance are still funny to you, have at it.

If they keep going back to that well, I think you're going to be shocked by how many people agree with me.

But that’s not why your jimmies are rustled. You’re bothered because of who it’s directed at, not whether the jokes are stale, unfunny, etc
