He now knows that the ricin wasn't lost and that it wasn't an accident. .
If you're Jesse, that's a huge jump to come to that conclusion.

Either way, at the time Walt convinced Jesse it was Gus. Which ended up getting Gus killed and leading to all of the killings in season 5.1 due to Walt's rise of power
When Walt told Jesse it was Gus, it made sense. But when all the dust settled, it was a freak accident and Jesse felt horrible for it.

Jesse snaps. 2 out of three things that have hurt Jesse have been realised. Now, if the Jane thing ever surfaced...
Jesse's first gut suspicion about the ppoisoning was right. Confirmed with carelessness. Saul spilled the beans. Jesse is no longer afraid of Walt or anything.

The ricin cig missing and that kid almost dying was not a coincidence.
Quit being dumb. The cig had nothing to do with Brock getting sick.

From reddit:
Huell used the same brand of cigarettes as the last time he swiped them from Jesse, so Jesse made the immediate connection.
Jesse was already suspicious of Walt doing the poisoning in Season 4 when he put a gun to Walt's head.
Also, Walt was the one who originally put the idea in Jesse's head that he might have misplaced the ricin cigarette.
Also, Walt just happened to be with Jesse when they found the ricin cigarette.

quote:I agree. At this point, I think that has less to do Walt, and more to do with him not valuing his own life anymore. The guilt has destroyed him and he doesn't care about living or dying.
Jesse is no longer afraid of Walt or anything.
He went out to the desert with Walt assuming he'd die.

Does Jesse light the fire and trash Walt's house bringing attention to it?

How great would it have been in that scene in the desert when Jesse asked where do I go? Walt say Belize and starts capping Jesse and Saul.

I agree, I feel he's been on the verge of suicide. Maybe even has a death wish.
Now, I'm not so sure. He had nothing before, but now has vengeance..and that's enough to keep you going.
Just wonder if Walt will try to kill him after this.
Plus since he also knows the info about the Jesse/hank conversation he was offered. Not to mention he once looked at Walt as his free pass if ever in real trouble.
For those wondering, heull body checked him at the door, he puts something in his pocket he lifted from Jesse, much the same was he did at the end of season four. Pickpocket.

Quit being dumb? Really? I was trying to help. Sorry.

I don't get how so many are confused about this. It's like reading a Hodor thread.

Sorry
I just hate this huge gap which is big enough to change Jesse's entire character.
We spent a full season developing what Jesse's character to where it was before the episode. And his "aha" moment needs to be definitive and it's not.

I don't think anyone is "confused." Just too many gaps to be such a huge shift in one of the main characters.

It was very definitive to me
Jesse realises Walt looked him the eye and lied to him while having a barrel between his eyes. Poisoned a child Jesse cared for all in the name of leverage. Jesse went berserk.

It would be definitive if Brock had actually been poisoned with Ricin, since another "accidental" poison was involved it leaves a big gap.

But he's right. The kid comes down with some mysterious poisoning at the exact time when his ricin cigarette goes missing, causing him to confront Walt and set the whole chain in motion where he teams with him against Gus.
Once he figured out that his cigarette was palmed by Saul's guy (which he actually suspected at the time), it's not much of a stretch to figure out that Walt arranged the kid's poisoning. Especially since Jesse also now knows that Walt isn't necessarily broken up by kids getting hurt (scooter bike kid)

That makes the most sense out of everything I've read so far. Still a stretch I'll live with it.
Why did the writers even involve the Lily? Make Brock being poisoned by Ricin so we can make the connection.
Or they should have had Jesse know about the plant somehow.

Yeah if Jesse would have found the plant at Walt's house it would make way more sense and be a clear connection.
