Marvel did it right. Once they started the MCU, they planned it out so they'd pretty much know how it all would fit together.
This plot, if true, screams of desperation.

I don't see why. DC fanboys will go see anything DC makes and love it. Marvel fanboys won't. They will see Marvel. Any crossover is extra.
Marvel made their money and will continue. DC needs to make a mark. If their respective movies open on the same day, same month, even, then yeah. But otherwise, are they really competing against each other?
I guess my point is, there is a place for both movie franchises, both comics, and all that stuff.
My biggest problem is that DC has the two of the greatest superheros of all time in their fold and are trying like hell to get them into the same movie. They should be trying to reestablish Superman, as they have with Batman. Then, in the meantime, bring in one, maybe two other guys along the way. We (movie watchers, non-comic readers) need to be introduced to some of these characters. But not all of them in one movie with the two biggest superheros going at each other.

By definition a fanboy will see anything and love. So if someone won't see a marvel movie they aren't a fanboy.

I meant Marvel fanboy may not go see a DC movie. Upon reading, I see how unclear I was. But yes, a comic fanboy will see both.
I guess my point is there is room for both DC and Marvel movies. I doubt Marvel guys are worried about what DC is doing or not doing. They are busy making money.

Totally agree and they need to put Bruce Timm charge damnit.
