The Shadow, The Crow, and Hellboy, Why not a Darkman reboot?

Hollywood has zero creativity.

It’s a combination of that along with the average movie goer willing to spend money to see movies they’re already familiar with

But movies aren't like food. That's the fallacy.

People order the same shite at restuarants because they know they won't be disappointed.

In movies ordered again, we sort of know we will. Because you can't go home again.

But Hollywood right now is simply preying off our curiosity...once they get the ticket sales, it doesn't matter if the movie is garbage.

It's paint by the numbers movie-making - play it safe...by remaking a proven commodity.

The only way to stop it is to stop going - even out of curiosity.

Most of those films flopped badly.

And toxic is coming back because it has a cult following.

Well so does Swamp Thing...why isn't that coming back?

There are plenty of big titties in Hollywood.

It depends on what they do with Hellboy.

The full story is goddamned amazing as it weaves Lovecraft into the endtimes, scifi, pulp, and general horror.

We've gotten a great flick loosely based on like the first 6 issues.

And then del Toro and Perlman running as fast and far as they could before the executives realized they gave the artsy guy money to do whatever the frick they wanted in The Golden Army. Which was also a great flick.

I mean we never got this

Really?

How could a TV show do Swamp Thing justice unless it was on Cinemax?

Everyone keeps saying Hollywood has zero creativity now, but 30 years ago we were on the 7th Friday the 13th film, 4th Death Wish, 3rd Rambo, 5th Nightmare on Elm Street, and I didn't hear anyone complaining then.

This is such an overused term.

They are rebooting superhero films. Big fricking deal. You can go see good films outside of superhero stories.

to be expected all these except for Hellboy was made before XMen (I know Blade was first but it was more a vampire movie and not a comic book superhero film) and the current explosion of superhero films. Why not try to remake with modern technology an cash in. I don't blame them they are trying to make money. If a reboot is good people will see it (21 Jump street, Batman Begins, Spiderman Homecoming) if it's bad or just alright they won't (Clash of the Titans, Ghostbusters, Oceans 8, The Mummy, amazing spiderman 2)

Speaking of reboots Jay and Silent Bob the reboot making fun of reboots should be fun.

Hell Boy & Green Hornet were complete flops.

Rocketeer came out in the earlier 90's and has a bit of a cult following.
