I'm no bible scholar, but the first four of seven seals broken are the four horsemen. They are definitely going deep with this.

From wiki:

quote:

The Seven Seals is a phrase in the Book of Revelation that refers to seven symbolic seals that secure the book or scroll, that John of Patmos saw in his Revelation of Jesus Christ. The opening of the seals of the Apocalyptic document occurs in Revelation Chapters 5-8. In John's vision, the only one worthy to open the book is referred to as both the "Lion of Judah" and the "Lamb having seven horns and seven eyes".[5:5-6] Upon the Lamb opening a seal from the book, a judgment is released or an apocalyptic event occurs. The opening of the first four seals release The Four Horsemen, each with their own specific mission.[6:1-8] The opening of the fifth seal releases the cries of martyrs for the "word of God".[6:9-11] The sixth seal prompts cataclysmic events.[6:12-17] The seventh seal cues seven angelic trumpeters who in turn cue the seven bowl judgments.[8:1-13]

And I saw when Ichabod opened Abby's seal, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, the beast with two backs saying, Come and see.

Amazing finale. Funny how I discounted the show based upon the initial trailer to not only thoroughly enjoying this show but to having it become my new favorite show this year. John Noble was amazing and I did not see him coming to be a villain but he will make a great one, he just chews up the screen.

That was an awesome ending to the season. I was freaking surprised at the twist at the end.

Hate to be repetitive but WOW!

Amazing season finale and John Noble is a freaking GOD.

I loved him in "Fringe" and he was just exceptional tonight. You could feel the evil in him just by subtle shifts in his facial expressions and body language. He never got the awards he deserved as Walter Bishop so I hope that changes and he gets some love from the Emmys and Golden Globes next year.

The bits with the cell phone and the Revolutionary War recreation as a clothing store were laugh out loud funny.

You know this is an awesome show when ZOMBIE GEORGE WASHINGTON is a mere footnote.

Just amazing. Well done, show.

Agreed with everyone, except that the plot twist wasn't THAT unexpected. I mean, yeah, it surprised, but you had to know it wasn't going to end on a happy note, and the story about the son wasn't over yet.
Still...great show. Great season finale.

And the tiniest of beefs with it would only be: George Washington was supposed to be a tall man. The actor playing him was shorter then Crane.
Could have at least given him lifts in his boots.
That's it.

I told my wife the same thing. GW was about 6' 3". The who plays Crane is 6' 1" so it wouldn't have taken much to make the scene believable.

So much greatness last night.

Loved this line from Ichy about keeping his old coat—"Please, and risk it being worn ironically? By purveyors of artisanal marmalade who discovered it at a local thrift shop? I thank you no."

The fist bump in purgatory had me laughing too.

So Abby is trapped in purgatory and Ichi and his smoke show witch/ghost wife are being held by their lunatic/evil devil worshiping son who hasn't aged in roughly 150 years. Is that it???

Also is Ichabod'd wife actually alive or was her spirit just released from purgatory. I'm a little confused on this point.

Same here.

****spoiler for those that haven't watched the season finale yet****

I started getting the feeling something was up with Parish, but I thought it was going to end up being a possession. I COMPLETELY didn't see him being their son. Well done!

Abby sacrificed herself for Catrina to be released from Purgatory and for the chance to face Moloch

Catrina is now alive in our world.

Abraham, Ichabod's buddy aka Headless, now has Catrina who he was hot after in the past.

Ichabod is pretty much screwed atm

The Apocalypse is here and cats are living with dogs

Abby is in purgatory. The sister should be dead but I'm sure will somehow survive. The captain is headed to jail. Ichabod has been buried alive and Katrina was taken away by the horseman/Abraham. I just realized Katrina was the stripper Quinn was hooking up with in Dexter. I don't have an issue with the son not aging if you consider the powers he and Moloch have. Ichabod also didn't age.

I don't have an issue with anything that happened it was just so much happened at the end and I had a "few" beers I knew I probably missed something.

Was Katrina ever dead or was her corporeal body trapped in purgatory? I find it confusing that she could be flesh and bone in our world if her body is dead and buried somewhere else. Ichibod was magically preserved when he died so in a crazy sounding way it's easier to buy.
