A father (Sergi López) and his son arrive at a rave deep in the mountains of southern Morocco. Hope is fading, but they push through and follow a group of ravers heading to one last party in the desert. As they venture deeper into the burning wilderness, the journey forces them to confront their own limits.
It was added to Hulu today. If the premise interests you, do not watch the trailer. It shows way too much.

Finally got around to this. Not sure how I feel about it. It’s definitely different.
I kinda took the message as you can only bury your head in the sand and run away from the world for so long until life catches up with you. The Sahara backdrop was great and as a former raver in my 20s the music was fun. I definitely wasn’t as hardcore as that though
I think id rank it just behind The Secret Agent, along with It Was Just An Accident, but ahead of Sentimental Value for my best foreign films of last year

Man….that was not what I was expecting. Not sure I’d want to watch it ever again but I will say I wish I had seen it in the theater and it should’ve won the Oscar for Best Sound.
