International Baccalaureate. All the Sarasota high schools have some speciality program, so kids go to out of district schools all the time by choice.

Amanda is hot as frick, so is Juliette. Madison has a cute face. Kelsey is good looking, but I'm the least attracted to her (not including Chloe).

100% agree with you. I'd probably place Juliette's looks above Amanda's but she (Juliette) comes off like she could go bat shite cray at any moment. Therefore, Amanda holds that #1 spot right now among the females. Dat arse in that red swim suit doh

Observations through 3 episodes:
Chloe should be cut from the show immediately. She brings 0 to the table, in fact she's a net-negative on the show.
The ex GF should also probably be cut. What is a smart, professional looking, fricking engineering grad doing on a show like this? She's WAY out of place.
The Red bikini chick has the best arse I've seen on a television show quite possibly ever. My lord does she look like a hoe though... But damn.
Kelsey chick is an absolute bombshell, but there's something off about her. Perhaps she seems quite timid... Like an ugly girl trapped in a pro volleyball players body. Also, the "tension" between her and her boyfriend relationship seems completely fabricated and edited.
Juliette might be the total package but damn does she seem like she would stalk that arse...
Final observation: The "parents" segments are terrible. I honestly think MTV tried to make another Laguna or Hills and found out real quick these people are about as vapid, untalented, uninteresting as a South Florida seagull.
It really feels like they have no real storyline to follow and fill half the episode with "parent talks" and long, slow motion frat party boat scenes. There's truly nothing happening in these people's lives of any interest.
They caught lightning in a bottle with LC, Cavallari, and Co. 10-plus years ago. This feels kind of like watching your good looking friends from college trying to put on MacBeth... It don't work.

agree as well. what makes it really dumb is that Kelsey says (via voice-over monologue) "nobody knows that Alex low key hits me up", and when Garrett tells Kelsey that he thinks Alex is overstepping his boundary, Kelsey in a voice-over says that he has no reason to be jealous. Uhhhh, yeah he does Kelsey, in your earlier voice-over, you told us that Alex hits you up on the low.
edit- I'm pretty sure there's zero chance this show gets renewed for a second season.

They might try to do some kind of spin off with just Juliette and red bikini and throw them in Miami or something. Set up some fake modeling gigs for Kelsey and get her away from boring boyfriendd and hire another Justin Bobby or Brody wannabe.
That's really the only way I see it surviving too. Gotta have better writers and get these people some acting lessons or soemthing, anything to give them some life.

I can see that. There's been a ton of backlash over Alex, both with his horrible on screen persona (or lack thereof) and with the animal abuse stuff, so I can't imagine MTV bringing him back.
The girls are hot enough where they can try to pull something off with them, but they gotta make it more interesting.

Someone mentioned it earlier but I found it amusing Alex's dad (and friends) forked up $100K to hire a production company for the pilot.
I'm really confused by this show. I'll give most "reality" TV a chance on MTV, but this is so odd. The way it's shot with all the slow mo and voice overs puts me off. Laguna Beach seemed pretty fake at times, but this is even worse. They need to either get better at what they're doing, or just drop the schtick and go to a more traditional reality show. Now it just watches as a shitty drama with shitty writers and shitty actors.
Sadly, I think I liked that Gainesville show more than this

It's like when China tries to rip off American stuff but has no real grasp of it and makes an extremely shitty product that just doesn't work.
What will be amazing is when MTV actually DOES make a spinoff with nothing but the hot girls and replaces all of the dudes while still owning the rights. You know the network had all of the leverage in those negotiations with Papa Alex.

That's my understanding. I don't see how this gets re-upped or even produces some spinoff.
Mtv just needs To go the CMT route and do something like Party Down South where the personalities are, for the most part, real and go from there...not some minor league CW drama shite

I'm pretty sure the dad just pitched the idea to different studios, and mtv ended up biting on it.

Huh? That's where a production company comes in. MTV isn't filming anything. That's how that Sally anne gal became so popular with 459 productions. They handled Jersey Shore and Party down South.
The $100K I mentioned was for a pilot that was done a year back or so. They shopped it around before MTV was interested

what i meant was that the finished product has mtv's touches all over it, i.e. the pilot that was shot and shopped is probably alot different than the 3 episodes we've seen. Once MTV picked up the rights, they turned it into a laguna beach/hills type presentation.

Yeah, I'm not sure who is the production company now. But you're probably right that it's much different, although I'd be interested to see the pilot. It was probably more original than the shitty editing to dramatize stuff. There should be enough drama at that age where they don't have to stir shite up like Bravo TV.
