It's one of the most over rated shows out there. Has good points, but not enough to garner so much praise. I'd stop now if you don't like it. It only gets more far fetched and ridiculous.

As somebody who was forced by an obsessed gf to watch all 8 seasons, watch the first three and then figure out what episodes you get to see MLP naked in and watch those. To reiterate what everybody else has said, the only characters that make the show partly enjoyable are Doug and Andy.
