Its hard to watch now. What was such a great show has either turned to shite or they have just run out of idea to write about
Please for the love of God, end this show before it turns into a total shite show for good.

Would it have been as good in the first place if the smokeshow that is Emmy Rossum wasn’t getting naked all the time?

It certainly added to the show but overall, the show was good for a while. Yes it fell off a bit throughout the years but it has hit rock bottom now.
They need to just stop it

Seems like the same old shameless to me. Good for a couple good gut busting laughs every episode. Like that deal on top the wedding cake. LMAO.

I still enjoy it. Not saying it’s great but the characters are so developed. Next year is the last season but hope it ends on a positive note for Lip out of all the characters. Last episode was a good season ended. Kev with the bat in hand.

First couple of seasons were pretty good. Ample mix of laugh out loud funny and skin-crawling cringe with a side of heart.
They were never able to keep all the characters funny, unfortunately. Fiona, Lip, and Ian saw their storylines evaporate all comedy. Debbie became one of the most detestable characters in the history of television.
It was well before the halfway point of the show's lifetime that you went into every new episode praying that Kev, Carl, or Frank would rescue it 40 minutes in.
They were never able to keep all the characters funny, unfortunately. Fiona, Lip, and Ian saw their storylines evaporate all comedy. Debbie became one of the most detestable characters in the history of television.

i don't remember when it happened, but when Emily Rossum's character was doing coke and not watching the baby it jumped over a Mecha-shark
her being a slut and making bad choices in men is one thing, but being a druggy who hurts her family was just so insanely out of character

I think Emmy Rossum pushed the writing staff to give her more serious storylines to better showcase her range as an actor. There were multiple seasons that I thought she was robbed of an Emmy nom. Unfortunately, the writing staff sucked arse and couldn't give her anything meaningful to do.

Macy is a teriffic actor, but I mostly found his character more annoying than entertaining, so I haven’t been watching recently.

Yeah, I stopped after a couple of seasons. I enjoyed it at first but it just wore on me.
Like at first Frank’s behavior was funny and entertaining to watch. But I legitimately got tired of him taking advantage of everyone he came across. And I know, his behavior is part of why the show is called Shameless but still.
Also really started hating Carl and Debby.

Couldn't stand his character, but we watched it for 4-5 seasons anyway. he last season I remember watching was when Lip was banging the professor
