Alias. The first 2 seasons were good. Then it went off the rails. I watched until the end

Mad Men

The last three seasons were a big drop off from the first four, especially seasons six and seven. It's the only show I've ever kept watching while hating

I've never felt more understood in life...

It was like a huge weight was released when True Blood ended. I was a loyal champion of True Blood throughout its run.. the first few seasons were incredibly strong.. But then it got way too complicated and weird. I just couldn't keep up. It became less Romeo and Juliet meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Or Underworld) and more Blade meets the Matrix. Shite got really weird.

I honestly think the writers were relieved as well..

I agree with this... I binged watched seasons 1-4 of Friday Night Lights with no problem.. though it did get harder to watch once coach Taylor left Dillon... but season 5 was so difficult to watch. It took forever for me to finish it. I could only watch it when I had absolutely nothing more interesting to watch.

HIMYM - After Marshall's dad died, the show had nothing left. Also Barney and Robin was just awful.
Smallville - I'm probably the only person who was upset when they wrote off Lana. The parade of super heroes/villains that came through the show at the end seemed forced. The show wasn't terrible at the end, just not very good.

Is there a thread for season 3 of House of Cards? I was NOT impressed with that season at all.

I thought season 2 was pretty strong as well but I think the show really started to struggle when Frank killed Zoe.. with the death of Zoe we lost that journalism viewpoint/storyline, which I thought was fascinating (huge Newsroom fan here). Now, the entire story is told through the eyes of Frank, with occasional Doug and Claire sprinkled in..

I'm really hoping this isn't the beginning of a few down seasons of House of Card.... but I'll take it if it means that the last few seasons are going to be amazing beyond belief.

I'm not. As soon as she chose Lex, I lost all sympathy for her, even after she "realized" her mistake.

I need to rewatch those seasons because the details are fuzzy now. Didn't she only choose Lex because Clark broke up with her? Clark sort of dug his own grave on that one (albeit with good reason for doing so).

Part of the reason I dont watch Gotham is because im still pissed at Bruno Heller for fricking up the ending of the Red John storyline. 6 years of build up for the worst resolution possible.

I actually enjoyed the pseudo reboot though since the show was just Jane screwing around with people.

No, she somehow forgot everything that shes ever known about Lex despite everyone telling her otherwise, and becomes a sucker for Lex's feigned kindness and honesty.

Season 6 basically shows all the fallout from Lana's mistake of pursuing Lex and her finally coming to grips with it.

I actually have been watching Smallville again lately, and I just finished season 7 and now I'm watching Season 8.

Did not like Season 7 all that much, but Season 8 seems much better the 2nd time watching it.
