Has anyone listened yet? Loved season 1 but quit season 2. Is season 3 any good so far?

I’m on Episode 3. I’ve enjoyed it so far.

It’s alright. Not as good as 1 and 2. My big problem with it is she is siding with these criminals and taking their word as truth. It is a good listen and interesting though.

I don't think she's siding with criminals at all. The barfight incident in episode 1 was complete bullshite (Especially after watching the camera footage on youtube). She's openly tried to interview certain folks involved in Cleveland PD and per usual they are stonewalling her because they have to protect one another.

I've listened to the first 3 episodes and like it better than Season 2. Remains to be seen if it's better than Season 1.

It's a pretty revealing look at how messed up our criminal justice system really is.

I think it's excellent, possibly better than Season 1. She can still be annoying - and she's obviously a lefty - but I still think she's done a pretty decent job of acknowledging the real pressures that that real people in those jobs are under. She hasn't portrayed anyone as evil or immoral - even the conservative judge who loves to lecture the accused.

You should definitely listen to it. The 1st episode about the chick and the barfight really made my blood boil.

The part I don't understand is why the cops didn't attempt to track down the other aggressor woman who calmly came over and started kicking her on the ground. Seriously, WTF?

Uh, the police union leader came across really badly in the 3rd episode. She didn't really have to do anything to portray him that way though. He did it on his own.

Yeah, he was a dolt. But still, she even went so far as to say she "appreciates him without actually liking him".

Because the other bar attendees came to the defense of the folks they knew. That girl wasn’t a regular there and given the footage of them groping/slapping her before the fight. I’m not too shocked that they defended the other girl.

"Defended" is an awfully charitable way to describe what she did.

This series is just absolutely depressing. It's not a good look for any of the involved parties at all. The arrested, the cops, the judges, the attorneys. What a complete mess.

Nah, I don't think she's siding with criminals. I think she (rightly) understands that in under served and poor communities crime is a product of the environment and circumstances found in those communities. Rather than siding with the criminals I think she's just being realistic about what's going on.

She doesn't push back on some of the criminals' quotes directly, but she does a good job of illustrating the differences between what they say and what they do. The last episode especially does this.
