the finale of Six Feet Under.

Not sure about it being the saddest, but it was pretty powerful.

Strange show, but that finale caused all the dust in the room to swirl around.

When Jimmy Smits character died on NYPD Blue

When Gloria and Meathead moved to California on All In The Family. Seeing Archie have emotion and him trying to hide it from Edith.... that got to me.

Michael Scott's last episode of the Office and a couple other Office episodes were sad.

Lem getting killed by Shane on The Shield.

Season 4 finale of Dexter and Michael Scott's last episode are the saddest I've ever seen

When Peggy tells Pete about the baby gets me everytime I see it. Between that and Don breaking down during The Suitcase there's certainly been some moments on that one.

Futurama jurassic bark

Mid season break of season 4 of battlestar galactica and the episode after. When they get to the fabled earth and its a nuclear wateland and then Dee and Lee go on a date and then she blows her brains out afterwards.

the finale of Six Feet Under.

FWIW I almost posted this. But some of that was hopeful too so it wasn't quite as bad. That's probably the most satisfied I've felt watching a finale.

I agree with all of that. That show made me cry all the time. I was watching a rerun on G4 last week, and it was the one with the flashback if Claire talking to her comatose mom and apologizing for being so difficult and that she was going to LA to out her baby up for adoption. I cried my eyes out. And of course the whole final episode, especially that final shot where Jack is dying and he lies down in the jungle with the bamboo all around him and Vincent comes out if the jungle and lies down next to Jack. Cried like a baby.
