If they say it in a joking manner, maybe that would work. I have no confidence that Hollywood is able to make a political joke that doesn't fall flat.

Once Ready Player One hit it big, I knew I'd start seeing more LitRPGs made into movies.

Was "The Other Guys' the first movie about 2nd rate cops?
Was "The Rundown" the first movie about a bounty hunter?
Pineapple Express the first flick about stoners who get into crazy situations?
Rush Hour?
Beverly Hills Cop?
48 hrs?
Hot Fuzz?
21 Jump Street?
Just because the movie isn't groundbreaking, doesn't mean it won't be good.
And this particular premise hasn't been overdone on film. The closest to this particular premise, is Westworld. . .which is a completely different genre

Jodie Comer is about to be a household name. She mesmerizing on Killing Eve playing it both angelic/innocent and extremely twisted at the same time..
