I just don't get why they went the action flick route. They took the subject matter of poker and made a great movie in Rounders.
Sure, Rounders was over the top but still rooted in somewhat reality. Just don't get why they had to turn it into a Fast and Furious type movie.

Not sure where they shot that but I have an acquaintance who's dad runs a much less glamorous gambling concern from the island of Curacao. Think Knish in Rounders but with a beach for your backyard and young Caribbean women around.
