If you're a Tony Scott fan or just want to watch a kind of forgotten A-list project from the 80s/90s, I'd highly recommend Revenge.

(I watched the Directors Cut, which is actually shorter than the theatrical release, but more graphic.)

The cast is pretty stunning. Kevin Costner at his peak stardom and just before Dances With Wolves, old man Anthony Quinn (who is incredible), early Madeline Stowe (in one of the most stunning screen actress portrayals you'll ever see), as well as smaller parts by Miguel Ferrer, John Leguizamo, and the coach from Major League (James Gammon).

It's not your typical Tony Scott blockbuster from this era. It looks great, of course, but it's a total classic Greek Tragedy and, at times, a very, very dark film. But it just stays with you.

But put the damn kids to bed for this one...holy smokes. There are some legit softcore porno scenes, as well as extreme violence, drugs... The works.

There are absolutely flaws in this film, but I highly recomend it to anyone who wants to watch something a little different and little intense.

I couldn't believe how hot she was in this movie. The Mexican accent also added to it bigly.

I loved this movie when it came out and was coming on HBO afterwards. It had been so many years since I thought of it, a few years ago I got it confused with No Way Out

When Costner rolls up to her before he knows who she is as she's walking in those riding pants in his Jeep with his cool arse dog...my oh my.

... And at the Beach, the creek, the Jeep, and especially the party. She's just an all time dime piece in this film... And I was never even really attracted to her in any other films.

But yeah, LINK is it.

The theatrical cut is actually pretty good too if you ever get around to watching it. I own both cuts.

She was a total smokeshow during that time frame.

I thought she was stunning the first time I saw her in Stakeout. Also nice in 12 Monkeys. Looking at her filmography, I've seen a couple of other films she was in, but those were the two most memorable roles.

I've never seen Revenge but I will definitely check it out.

Madeline Stowe

So hot in that movie.

Another of her thrillers where she's hot and is a good movie is Blink.

Revenge falls into that weird category of movies that aren't quite 80's movies but not yet 90's movies. 1988-1992 just a weird look and feel for thrillers and comedies during that period.
